How to Turn a Script into a Video with AI (Step by Step)
The dream is simple: write a script, press a button, get a finished video. The reality in 2026 is more like assembling a short film from AI-made parts — and it’s genuinely achievable for a simple video if you understand the pieces. This is the realistic end-to-end workflow I’d use, with honest notes on where it’s easy and where you’ll do real work.
A note before we start: AI video tools are improving fast, and “one-click script to video” tools exist with varying quality. This walks through the manual, more controllable approach, because understanding the pieces makes even the one-click tools easier to use well.
Step 1: Write (or refine) the script
Everything starts with the words. You can write the script yourself or get AI to help — give a chatbot your topic, audience, and desired length and ask for a short, punchy script.
